Snow White
Many years ago, on a winter's day, a queen was sewing near her room window, which had a black frame.
Snow was falling outside, and it was so beautiful that the queen often looked up from her work to enjoy the scene.
One time, as she turned to watch the snow fall, she cut her finger with her sewing needle.
She did not want the blood to fall on her work, so she put her arm out of the window, and three drops of blood fell on the snow.
The queen saw this, and thought that the color of red on white was very beautiful.
"I wish to have a child that is as white as this snow, as red as my blood, and as black as this window frame," she said to herself.
And not long after this, her wish came true.
She had a daughter whose skin was so white, the queen called her Little Snow White.
She had a healthy red face, and very black hair.
Sadly, the queen died only a few days after having the child.
A year later, the king, Snow White's father, found a new wife.
This woman thought that she was the most beautiful woman in the land, and did not like the idea of anyone else being more beautiful than her.
Every day she would go to her mirror and ask it, "Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, who's the prettiest one of all?"

很久很久以前 ，在一个冬日，一位王后正在她那有着黑色窗框的窗边做针线活 。
Snow was falling outside, and it was so beautiful that the queen often looked up from her work to enjoy the scene.
外面正飘着雪 ，景色十分美丽 ，王后常常停下手中的活，抬头欣赏这番景象。
One time, as she turned to watch the snow fall, she cut her finger with her sewing needle.
有一次 ，她转头去看落雪的时候 ，缝纫针扎破了她的手指 。
She did not want the blood to fall on her work, so she put her arm out of the window, and three drops of blood fell on the snow.
她不想让血滴到针线活上，于是就把胳膊伸出窗外 ，三滴血落在了雪地上 。
The queen saw this, and thought that the color of red on white was very beautiful.
王后看到这一幕 ，觉得白雪映衬着鲜血的颜色格外好看。
"I wish to have a child that is as white as this snow, as red as my blood, and as black as this window frame," she said to herself.
“我希望能有一个孩子，皮肤像这雪一样白皙 ，脸色像我的鲜血一样红润 ，头发像这窗框一样乌黑 。 ” 她心里暗暗许愿 。
And not long after this, her wish came true.
没过多久，她的愿望就成真了。
